Children's Ministry Associate

Angie began attending Rock Creek in 1998.  Before her senior year at Ouachita Baptist University in 2002, she became one of Rock Creek's summer interns.  After graduating with a degree in Biblical Studies, she soon accepted a job as a Case Manager for the Boys and Girls Club Re-Entry Program where she assisted teenagers with their re-entry into the community after being released from Alexander Youth Services Center.

She worked as a Case Manager for over a year before Rock Creek asked her to be the church’s first resident missionary.  In January 2005, she moved to the country of Peru for one year to serve the people of Northern Yauyos.  This wasn’t Angie’s first missionary endeavor.  In 1999, she traveled all the way to Mexico to visit an orphanage to do what she enjoys most — holding babies.  In 2000, she spent three weeks in Africa to share God’s love with teenagers and college students.

In January 2006, she joined the Rock Creek staff full time as Children’s Ministry Associate.  Angie says she feels blessed that Rock Creek has provided the opportunity for her to share the love of Christ with children who desperately need it – both here and around the world.

In her personal time, Angie enjoys reading, watching movies, traveling and eating dinner with friends.  In addition to her mission trips to Mexico, Africa and Peru, she has taken personal trips to France, Israel, Rome, Canada and the Caribbean Islands.

Angie and her husband Jordan live in Benton and they were married April 11, 2007.
