Melissa Ratliff |
Email Melissa joined the staff at Rock Creek as Children’s Ministry Pastor on November 1, 1999. She has an undergraduate from University of Central Arkansas and received a Masters Degree in Social Work from University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Working as a Child and Family Therapist for five years, Melissa brought a high level of expertise to Rock Creek’s Children’s Ministry. Not only does she have an obvious passion for children, she also has an interest in parents as their children grow spiritually. Through Rock Creek, Melissa helps parents with their parenting issues by holding several seminars throughout the year. Her favorite part about her ministry at Rock Creek is making a difference in a child’s life. She says, “When I get to watch a preschooler learn about Jesus and then during their Elementary years understand the need for Him in their life, I get so excited.” Melissa and Mark Ratliff have been married for almost 20 years and have lead a couple’s Life Group together for six years. She spent over ten years being a stay-at-home mom to their son, Blake, who is now 18 and their daughter, Katelyn, who is 14. Both children are very active at school and church. They have a ten year old miniature schnauzer named Maggie… who is the “princess” of the house. Melissa loves to travel. Her favorite vacation was when the whole family went on an Alaskan cruise. “The scenery was breathtaking and the time we had with our children was priceless.” Her favorite place to visit and relax is Sedona, Arizona. |
