Missions and Single Adults Pastor

Mike joined the staff at Rock Creek in September of 1998 as the Executive Pastor. A year later he oversaw the launch of the Small Groups Ministry and assumed the role of Small Groups Pastor. In January of 2003 he moved from Small Groups Pastor to Singles & Missions Pastor.

Mike grew up in Brazil in a missionary home. Upon graduation from Ouachita Baptist University with a degree in Business, he returned to Brazil and worked for 11 years with a mining company 750 miles up the Amazon River. In 1987 he left the mining company and enrolled at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where he earned his Masters of Divinity degree. Upon graduation he re-entered the marketplace as General Manager of Quikrete Materials here in Little Rock. Eight years later he joined the staff at Rock Creek.

Lana, Mike’s wife, owns “Lana’s Dance Studio” in Lonoke as well as “Lonoke County Junior Cotillion.” They have four children: Carolyn, Michael, Zane and Gavin.

Mike loves to play with his children, ride his motorcycle, photography, travel (he speaks Portuguese and Spanish), and read. He recently took up running and completed his first ½ Marathon in Virginia Beach.

“Deploy world-class Christians around the world” best sums up Mike’s passion as the Single Adults and Missions Pastor at Rock Creek.
