Misty  began working at Rock Creek in 2002 as the church's receptionist.  In 2004 she became the secretary which provided support to Rock Creek's pastoral staff.  Because of the church's rapid growth, in 2008 she accepted the job as the Rock Creek Care Center's Administrative Assistant.

One aspect of her job is working with the Food Bank.  She feels that her job gives her the daily opportunity to work closely with people who are in need.  She also works closely with the Programs Director Alexis Ware and Rock Creek's Counselor, Joan Hemingway.

Misty volunteers for the Student Ministry.  For four years she has served in a leadership role as a Life Group Leader. The one aspect of the Student Ministry that she is most passionate about is the opportunity to get to know the students on a personal level. She feels it's important to love the students unconditionally, to encourage the development of their unique gifts and to share God's love with them.

Before Rock Creek, Misty was a travel agent at a company owned by her mother-in-law, Mary Millard, who is Rock Creek's Administrative Assistant.  Being an agent had it's traveling perks.  She went on several excursions, but says her visit to Grand Cayman tops the list.   Immediately following September 11, 2001 the travel agency took a financial hit.   In hopes to help relieve some of the company's financial burden, Misty volunteered to leave.  She then became a stay-at-home mom to her newly born daughter.
