Email In support of Mark Evans and his Rock Creek vision, Paul attended Rock Creek’s inaugural service at the Courtyard Marriot in 1995. He became a member of the church in 1996 and began sharing its vision with others. In May 1998, Paul left the Rock Creek family in order to become an overseas missionary to help develop a youth program at First Baptist Church in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands. Within three months, he also took on the position of their interim Music & Worship Pastor. Three and a half years later, Paul returned to Little Rock and joined the Rock Creek staff to assist with the music and technical responsibilities. Tapping into his spiritual gifts, Paul’s job eventually evolved into administrating the needs of Pastoral Care. Today Paul leads a team of dedicated volunteers who visits those in hospitals, nursing homes and who are home-bound. He says his favorite thing about Rock Creek is “the unassuming nature of the people.” Prior to his ministry in Grand Cayman, Paul experienced a rewarding career in the retail shoe business. Beginning as a shoe salesman, Paul worked his way up the corporate ladder and fulfilled his dream of owning and operating his own business. Paul and his wife, Jan, live in Maumelle. Jan enjoys treating patients and developing relationships through her career as a Nurse Practitioner. Together, they have seven grown children: John, Paula, Jason, Jessica, Josh, Joy, and Jon, and seven grandchildren: Austin, Truett, Parker, Dillon, Jaden, Emi, and Tori. As a couple, their favorite times are those spent with family during holidays and birthdays, and special times with grandchildren, or just doing fun things together like: golfing, backpacking, scuba diving, movies, traveling, and target shooting with hand guns. |
