A church is more than beautiful buildings and a great location, comfortable chairs and pleasant surroundings. While we enjoy and appreciate all of those things and much, much more at Rock Creek, they’re never - ever - intended to be an end in and of themselves. At the very core of our mission as a church, everything we have and all that we possess - both corporately and individually - must serve a greater purpose, a higher vision.

From the very start ten years ago, The Church at Rock Creek has been committed to “taking Jesus as He is to people as they are.” We’ve consistently focused on innovative ways to meet the real needs of real people, seeking to treat them with the honor and dignity that Jesus Himself would extend. In fact, our very first building on our ministry campus was our Care Center, a community-focused ministry hub that houses our Food Bank, Career Link Workshop, Computer Lab, Cars Ministry and Counseling Offices.

Now that we’re home, enjoying this expansive ministry campus that was just a dream ten years ago, it’s time to continue the good work that we’ve begun. Here you’ll discover the “next step” for our ministry campus, buildings that will house innovative ministries that allow us to continue to extend the love and grace of God to those who need us most.

“Impact - Changing Central Arkansas” is all about what this church can be, must be, if we are to live in harmony with the vision that the Lord has set before us. As I have often said, “the most important person at Rock Creek is the next one we reach.” For more than a decade, our focus as a church has been on reaching out to those around us, demonstrating the love of God in very practical and tangible ways. “Impact” will take us to a new level, enabling us to minister to the hurting, wounded people - in fact, some of the most vulnerable members of society - who surround us at every turn.

I encourage you to take the time to reflect carefully on the unique opportunities that we’ve been given, collectively, to make a real difference in this community that we all love so much. While none of us could do it by ourselves, working together we can have an impact that echoes the name of Jesus throughout the entire Central Arkansas region. To that end, may the focus of all that we do here at Rock Creek continue to bring honor and glory to the King of kings and Lord of lords, the Good Shepherd who left the ninety-nine sheep in their safety to seek out the one who needed Him most.

IMPACT: CHANGING CENTRAL ARKANSAS

“Impact: Changing Central Arkansas” is a 36-month campaign designed to complete Phase 4 of our campus expansion plan, and launch us into greater opportunities for ministry in the years ahead. As a rapidly growing church, we have the privilege of building upon the gifts and sacrifices of those who have been with us through the years, acknowledging their faith and vision while continuing to expand our outreach. Please prayerfully consider a sacrificial gift, above and beyond your regular giving. This is a time to pray with your family and seek God’s direction regarding how much you should give. Equal sacrifice, not equal gifts, is what we should use to express our thanksgiving for how God has blessed our lives. Remember, God tells us in 2 Corinthians 9:7 “Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”

Three Ways to Give to IMPACT:

Give a Cash Gift

Consider ways to give the best cash gift possible. Perhaps you’ve recently received a bonus at work, an inheritance, or some other form of financial abundance and blessing. Rather than simply holding on to the asset, consider investing it in God’s work through The Church at Rock Creek. Involve your whole family in setting a specific amount to give.

Make a 36-Month Pledge

Giving spread out over the next 36 months allows you to make a steady contribution that accrues with time, often resulting in a larger gift than you may have thought possible. You can choose to give weekly, monthly, quarterly or with an annual gift to the Impact campaign.

Give an Asset

The gift of an asset that you own can have a bigger impact than you might imagine, and often provides a favorable tax advantage for you. Consider participating in the “Impact: Changing Central Arkansas” campaign through the gift of appreciated stock, bonds, cars, land, homes or other personal valuables. Remember, your gift will have far-reaching impact, both here and now as well as in eternity. Please contact our church administrator, Lynn Fagan, to discuss the potential benefits of giving an asset to the Impact campaign.

PHASE FOUR:
ROCK CREEK'S CHILDREN HOME

It’s one thing we all have in common.

Single or married, rich or poor, black, white, Asian or Hispanic, born in the city or raised on a farm, we all share this common denominator:  We were kids once.
