Rock Creek's Small Groups Ministry exists to help people just like you!  We offer Bible Studies for couples, men, women and single adults.  You might also be interested in our Digital Photography Group, Softball Teams, Adult Literacy Class, and Scrapbooking.  Life works better when we work through it's ups and downs with people who care.

LIFE GROUPS  |  Sign up online today!
Life Groups are Rock Creek’s Bible study groups that meet weekly or bi-monthly. There are several groups for you to choose from: couples, men’s, women’s, and single adults. In these groups you’ll get to know each other, pray together and share the Bible together.

FORKS & FRIENDS  |  FAQ
Forks & Friends Groups are Rock Creek’s dinner groups that help you to develop new friendships with the people you see at church. Groups meet once a month for a year.  In addition to eating together at various locations, there are games and fun activities designed to create interaction. Usually a Forks & Friends group consists of 16-18 people.

ACTIVITY groups
Activity Groups are built around sports, hobbies, and common interests. Current groups are Scrapbooking, Knitting, Rock Creek Riders (motorcycle club), Rock Creek Cruisers (classic car owners), softball and more.

Softball Team
Interested in playing softball? The men's team plays in Benton and Temple Baptist. The women's team plays in Benton and Burns Park. Contact Keith Jackson via email or phone (225-8684) if you're interested. Both leagues will begin in March... so sign up today!

Money Makeover.
Come experience a total money makeover through Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University.  You'll learn how to get out and stay out of debt, what everybody should know about investments but is never taught, and how to control your money for your joy and peace rather than your money controlling you.

One couple from the last class said that they used to fight about money all the time but that they had not fought once since they got into this class.  They are truly experiencing "financial peace."  Come experience your own Financial Peace with us.  Contact Keith Jackson.

Digital Photography Group | 2008 Schedule
This group was created for photographers within Rock Creek to share and learn more about their equipment and photography opportunities. We will meet the second Thursday of each month. There will be an open projector at each meeting so photographers can share and discuss their favorite photos. We plan to have guest speakers and special events all focused on photography. Most of the discussions will be around digital SLR cameras. If you have questions or are interested in attending view the meeting schedule or contact
Marty Allen.

Scrapbooking
Scrapbooking will meet again this summer! It's a great way to get into the hobby of scrapbooking and get together with old friends and make new ones.

K-9 Ambassadors
This group will assist you in training your dog to become a therapy dog. Therapy dogs visit nursing homes, hospitals, and retirement centers to bring enjoyment to people's lives. The classes are taught by a certified dog trainer. For more information, contact
Keith Jackson.

SUPPORT GROUPS
Support Groups provide a place of comfort, healing, and hope for those experiencing life’s tragic interruptions. We want to help you successfully walk through this time with God’s help so that perhaps someday you may offer your hand to another.

“What a wonderful Father we have — He is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the source of every mercy, and the One who so wonderfully comforts and strengthens us in our hardships and trials.  And why does He do this?  So that when others are troubled, needing our sympathy and encouragement, we can pass on to them this same help and comfort God has given us."  2 Corinthians 1:3-4(Living Bible)

to sign up. Divorce is an experience that leaves you feeling broken. Every area of your life is affected. You have feelings you don't understand. You are separated from people you love. Your finances may be shattered. You don't know who you are anymore. Even though God hates divorce, it is important to remember that nothing can separate you from His love. Rebuilding Life is a divorce recovery group that focuses on the grace of God putting your life back together again and leading you toward wholeness.

Celebrate Recovery
Celebrate Recovery is a Christ centered recovery program that helps those with hurts, habits, and hang-ups to step out of denial and into God’s grace. Through this program, broken people with all kinds of co-dependencies have been transformed by the power of Christ. They have discovered hope and change they thought was beyond their reach. The group meets every Tuesday, including holidays, at 6pm.

Empty Arms Support Group
A child who loses their parents is called an orphan. A person who loses their spouse is called widowed. But there is no word for a parent who loses a child… this is how terrible the loss is. Empty Arms offers care and comfort for parents and families dealing with the loss of a child due to still birth. This ministry will help you cope with the pain and re-establish your joy. This group is led by Chad and Nancy Harvison who lost their daughter, Hannah Grace, through stillbirth at 23 weeks. Through that experience of pain and loss, God has shown them that parents and family members need the reassurances of God to help cope and eventually begin the healing process. Chad and Nancy have since been blessed with a son, Joshua Taylor. For information on future meetings of Empty Arms, contact Chad and Nancy Harvison or call Keith Jackson at 225-8684.

Military Support Group
Many of us have friends, colleagues or family members in military service who are serving overseas, meeting the call of the nation. Our eternal gratitude, thoughts and prayers are with them, and with all the men and women of our armed forces. We pray for their speedy and safe return home. If you are interested in participating in a Military Support Group, please email westevensma@hotmail.com.

Cancer Support Group
Have you or someone in your family been diagnosed with cancer? Let God show you that you are not alone. Rock Creek patients, survivors, friends and family members are forming a support group for comfort, advice and prayer. This group meets in the RC Care Center from 9am-10am on the fourth Sunday of each month. Email Rock Creek Cancer Support
for more information. Future Dates: Feb 24, Mar 30, Apr 27, May 25, Jun 29, Jul 27, Aug 24, Sep 28, Oct 26, Nov 23, Dec 21

SaveOne (Post-Abortion Support Group)
SaveOne is a nationally recognized program that teaches women how to be set free from the symptoms of Post-Abortion Syndrome. We have adopted it as our new format for our post-abortion support group for women. Groups meet in the Rock Creek Care Center for six Saturdays. If you are dealing with fear, anger, guilt, and sadness over an abortion, we invite you to join us. It will heal you emotionally and spiritually. It will change your life. For more information, contact
Keith Jackson.
